We know a lot of people who are politically kind, calculatingly thoughtful, tactically modest. You are genuinely kind, thoughtful, and modest. That is so valuable that I almost want to worship at your feet for it. You command peoples' affection without deceit or self-promotion. There is an evident gap in the company when you're not around. Your self esteem shows itself to be kinda for crap, but I really admire how you don't seem to let that slow you down in a practical way. You've got a wonderfully child-like quality despite being a genuine grown-up.

You are noble. You hold yourself to higher ideals than you demand from those around you, and you're not a shithead about it in any dimension, which is really amazing and admirable. Similarly, you're very earnestly and tangibly invested in your spooky-foo, and you're not a shithead about it, which is similarly rare and admirable.

As my hiatus into a "this is all manipulative political bullshit invented by compulsive liars and perpetuated by vainglorious fucktards" stance on religion becomes more of a for-now life-choice than a hiatus, thinking about you is the only thing that makes me a little sad about my current vector. I don't know that I will ever be able to believe again that the things you believe are correct, but I will always believe that they are Good. You are a frank credit to your bullshit, sir, and I hope you understand that that is a very high place in my esteem.
