Do you think it's necessary these days to have both a regular website for your band and a myspace page? Or is a myspace page sufficient enough?

I think it depends on your prospective crowd. A lot of people shy away from MySpace because they identify it as being full of 14 to 17 year olds and all included drama.

I think it helps to have a myspace page, if for nothing else than offering a sample of your music for people to hear, while a webpage is better for presentation and info on your band.

Most companies are starting to firewall up and filter sites like Myspace out.

And personally, I tend to get the preconceived notion that a band is of lesser quality if all they have is a myspace page.
