I would love if you switched into my class!! I can't remember everyone who's in it, but it seems like a good group who'd have really indepth discussions.
To give you an idea of her personality, she's the type of English teacher who posts inspirational quotes from books and such on her walls. And she says we'll usually put our desks in a big circle. But I kind of like that, and she has a Laramie poster up (I think that means we might read it. hmm).
Okay, a couple more questions, because I have to find things out befoe I decide if I'm switching for def. Has she given you any hw yet? And like, what was it? Anything she's said that stood out? Does she seem to like you / students in general? What did she say abotu her rules / herself as a teacher?
Sorry to be grilling you, but I can't go through another Grant-ish one. :/
We have this little thing to write about ourselves as students, like snapshot moments we remember or 'a-ha' moments where something finally clicked, or whatever like that. Actually an interesting assignment. She's really big on getting her students to do theatre, so she was really excited about David Mokriski and his Les Mis stuff, and the fact that I was in Laramie. She seems like a cool teacher. She's gonna be big on the writing and stuff (we have mandatory writing conferences) and she's a stickler for tardies and suchlike.
Wieder is the bomb. It may not be challenging, but she will teach you so much. Shiffman is the coolest too. He was the advisor for Model UN for awhile, and he's ridiculous smart...
Yay for being in the same spanish class Diana. I think I'm going to fail now, though. First day was so confusing!! Now for the most important part, add me? lol -Emma
