For those who are not familiar with this, it is contest to write the worst opening line for a novel. It is named after a Victorian novelist, Edward George Earl Bulwer-Lytton, who used the immortal line shown in the subject to open one of his novels.
The states of Michigan and Utah have enacted taxes on e-mail, though of course they do not refer to them as such. See Michigan, Utah Impose Dreaded E-Mail Tax for more info.
Yet more proof that nobody's life, liberty or property is safe when the legislature is in session.
So you may ask, "Why don't you like Mondays?" Well besides the obvious reasons, this past Monday started with my laptop deciding to crash! So I have spent the last several days:

I ran across an interesting OP/ED piece in the Mpls. Star Tribune (Strib) today (http://www.startribune.com/stories/1519/5160241.html). And people in this country wonder why the US is losing ground in the global economy. I am sure that it is too much to hope that people will read, much less heed, what this middle school math teacher has to say

Now, you shouldn't expect to see me detailing all of the intimate details of my life. I mainly joined to be able to read what my friends are saying in secret. (shhh!) What you can expect to see here the most, are things that come across my path that I find interesting, bizarre, etc.
