the most difficult part of doing this

is not puncturing the tinfoil in which you wrap the salmon - cause if you do, the water gets in and dissolves the salmon during the rinse cycle. Well. Yes. In that case - it could be salmon soup. Come to think of it, I don' think I've ever seen a salmon soup recipe

I have NEVER been able to figure out why one would bother - a fish poacher is not expensive and much less ecodestructive than running the dishwasher for a full cycle when the damned fish can be poached in the poacher on the top of the stove in about 6 minutes.
