I`m in a Tokyo internet cafe so I don`t have as long to write as I`d wish. Also, it`s hard to type on this Japanese keyboard and also, I`ve been drinking. Just some general thoughts and observations

Great to hear from you Justin! I really didn't expect a post from you in a while! For that size entry, it took me a while to read with the repeats that were slightly different. I'm not sure if that was due to the keyboard or the drinking, but entertaining either way!
I wouldn't mind having a kimono, but feel bad asking you to get me one. But since you offered; yes please! :)
Lastly - keep up with the experiencing new things! (like, short slanty eyed girls!) It's that stuff that we are all going to be oh-so-intrigued to hear about when you come back! Have fun.

The space bar, enter key, and backspace key are all tinier on this keyboard, which led to me hitting wrong buttons, which led to the doubling, which me being tipsy didn`t always notice.
I`m experiencing new things everyday. Just yesterday I had Indian food and really enjoyed it. Granted, not exactly something Japanese, but whatever.
Upon arrival did they all run in terror, screaming about a giant? I guess they would just be screaming and you wouldn't know what they were saying 'cause it's Japanese...
Did the women instantly give you coy glances and proceed to make advances on you? Have you been mixed up with Yakuza yet?

No screaming or terror filled Japanese people. But one of my roommates had the experience of walking down the street and passing a group of school girls around 17 or 18. They laughed as he walked by and when he turned back they laughed even more. Then with their fingers they made their eyes rounder and said `Hello, Joe!`
Also, I saw an old man with a wicked chin beard and I immediately thought of Nate and wanted to take a picture.

Oh yeah, I`ve also seen billboards for a Final Fantasy game called Befor Crisis (no e for some reason). Is it some new one you can`t get in America? If so, I shall buy a copy and taunt you with it.
Good to hear that you made it ok and that things seems to be going grreat for ya. :o) If you find a kimono place, you can count me in. I like foreign shit...plus it's something I could wear when I'm naked and fantazing about you. :o)
Keep up the posting...and of course, keep up the drinking. :o)
I'm glad you posted. I've been thinking about you since I was at the neighbors watching them do power hour Wednesday night and I kept giving them the countdown until your approximate arrival in Japan.
I'm glad to hear everything is going well for you. I have exciting news for you too!! My neighbor Brandon is taking a Japanese class so I told him he is going to be responsible for teaching me Japanese things to say to you. He just started his class though, so give me a little while on that one.

He`ll probably be able to teach me a thing or two. It`s a hard language to learn and I`m thinking I`m just going to learn phrases to get by. An important one is `Sumimasen`. It means pardon or excuse me or a number of other things. When you go to a grocery store and a worker gets so much as a hint of you, they yell `Soo-meee-maa-seeeeeeeeeeennnn!`

Some quick seaching on Orbitz and Hotwire shows that if you would like to visit Justin, say, in early January duing Christmas break it would cost $850 - $950 round trip from Detroit to Tokyo. Better start saving now.
