It's been 4 years since the buns killed anything I owned. And now, they chewed through my computer speaker wires. Aaaahhh! And these are good speakers too, with a subwoofer. I'd been so careful to wrap up the wires and put them on top of the table with LappyDancer (my laptop), but i forgot to last night. The buns have also been so well behaved ( Read more... )

Hmmm...might've been the control wires, rather than simple audio wires. Shouldn't be too difficult to fix, if the wires are color-coded...

I fixed them! But it took several hours. The outer insulator was really thick and there were so many separate wires and things inside. And there were three separate "cables" I needed to reconnected, each with multiple wires inside. As a result, I thoroughly sliced up my hands trying to strip the wires. (And I think it dulled my scissors as well). but at least the speakers work again (although I don't think the quality is quite as good).
