heyyy love
Don't be so upset...i love you :) <3
and i didnt vote based ONLY on abortion, but I do have a sort of answer to your question: Bush is NOT going to outlaw ALL abortion, only partial birth, which I think is a VERY good idea, except in medical circumstances. if someone has made the decision to have a child, and goes far enough into a pregnancy that the baby has begun to form an actual being, then its too late...youve MADE the choice...but before that, because mistakes are made, and because people are raped, and accidents happen, then it should and WILL be allowed....it wont fly Lea, if he even TRYS, which he WONT....
and remember, i LOVE you....:)

and we could debate for hours about partial birth abortions, and neither of us will sway the other

actually, if president bush would have it, abortion would be outlawed. he has even admitted to test prospective judicial appointments on the legality of aboriton to decide whether or not to appoint him or her. He is fundamentally trying to change the makeup of the federal and possibly supreme court if given the chance. with sandra day o'conner aging not so gracefully (cancer?), the balance of power in the supreme court on the issue of roe v. wade is rather tenuous.
And the partial birth abortion law that was recently passed does NOT allow for abortion in the case of the health of the mother. That is, if the mother and her doctor only discovered in the third trimester that she could become paralyzed because of the pregnancy, well that basically just fucking sucks for her. When before have women been so defeated by the male-dominated political system that we really have just become vehicles for making babies? I'd say never.

bush doesn't know the first thing about anything science...he is taking money out of stem cell research (which could cure your parents or you of parkinsons, alzheimers, diabetes and more) because its apparently 'amoral' to kill like 15 cells (fewer cells than slough off your arm when you itch) even though they are wayy in excess and are going to be thrown away anyway.
Its funny in a shitty kind of way how you discover that most of the people in the country are dumbasses who vote for 'moral values' instead of those unimportant things like 'the economy' or that little thing called 'social security'.
yeah I'll come with you to italy.
