I very much agree about needing to believe you're doing something productive for society. Sadly, camerawork for a good news station would fit the bill perfectly, but sadly the rest of the package isn't there. Pretty much everything else (save for possibly the carpentry) was work I didn't really believe in, and I took only because I needed a paycheque. With this position, I have a lot more faith in the company in general (at least its purpose and its focus on the customer) and what it does.
It may not be my dream job, but I suspect I will end up quite happy with this career... well... once I've become used to the work and no longer have to book hours of overtime each day to finish the routes. Anyway, off to work. This should be fun! :D
