Not sure about hysterics when he leaves, but I'm already hysterical just reading this. It is just perfect; I can feel their pain. Loved the references to the aging of the relationship and it strengthening through that, not diminishing.
I'm going to the last match of the season; will be incredibly proud of myself if I manage not to cry for the whole 90 minutes!

Right now I am bearing my hope in Josè coming back and making Lamps stay.

I'm not used to this pairing but something in the back of my mind told me reading your fic will be worth my time. It was beautiful and touching work, you clearly showed how John and Frank grew up through these all years , but still stayed together. I've never read any fic with them, however you can be proud of yourself because I fell in love with their relationship :)
