Shocking about Elliot Smith, eh? My friend came up to my room the other night and said, "So, Elliot Smith committed suicide. I...don't understand. Why do all the great ones die?" (another "great one" being Jeff Buckley, for example.) And that was that.

Of all the ways to go, suicide seems so uncalled for. And stabbing one's self seems so...morbid. Far worse than many other options I could imagine.

Yeah, all of the great ones die. Ugh. I had to call my best friend and tell her; that was awful, cause one of our biggest bonding experiences ever was seeing him in concert back in 1999.

But what an awful way to DIE. Geez. I can't imagine how bad being stabbed would HURT...I hope he was like...drugged up or something at least...then it might not've hurt too bad. Or else he just wanted it to hurt really bad.

Ooh sorry didn't mean to alarm you! It was just that Ben had up a tribute page for the guy who died as his splash page. It had a nice picture and a little personal note and all. So I thought you'd be interested that Ben cared too. No, nothing happened to Ben-perish the thought!
