Today was pretty uneventful, really. Drove down to Columbia for a really long voice lesson; worked on stuff for upcoming auditions, gossiped w/my voice teacher, etc.
The horror, the horror... I got Raven-Symone on that quiz. Oh yuck yuck yuck yuck yuck.
If I remember this right... your great-aunt's children are your mom's cousins, right? (or dad's or whatever). So that's your first cousin once removed, because 'removed' refers to generational differences. Your mother's first cousin, but once removed (generationally) from you. Your second cousins are your mother's cousins children. I *think* I know what I"m talking about.
Oi vey. Raven-Symone. AKA the wannabe Rudy on The Cosby Show. Yuck is right!
Alright...the cousin once removed thing makes sense. But if my mother's cousins are MY cousins once removed, wouldn't their children be my cousins twice removed? And on that note, what would my cousin's children be?
What's more, why am I putting so much energy into this? *scratches head*

Your first cousins are your aunts and uncles kids.
Your parents cousins are your second cousins.
And if i'm not mistaken their cousins are your third cousins.
that goes on and on.
When your cousins have kids, the kids will be your cousin once removed. Their kids will be twice removed and so on.
Very confusing at first, but after some thought, it all makes sense. :)
