i think sometimes you worry about too many things.
you should just do the what makes you happy and not worry about other things around you, ie: parents and job.

if you're only working at the hospital right now, try out, if you get cast, give the hospital a revised schedule of your availability. if they give you a problem, get another part time job.

its weird, im goign to into my senior year now and im doing everything i can to prepare myself for the future.

have you thought about taking classes?

Try out! Do you have ANY sheet music? I have Les Miz, Evita, and A Chorus Line if you want me to mail you something - it would be very last minute, but I could try. Also, try your local library - they usually have tons of music and you can find a song you already know and Xerox it (NOTE: I am not advocating Xeroxing music) which I strongly recommend you do, despite my disclaimer that I have to make for legal purposes. But it couldn't hurt, and if you tell yourself that getting the audition doesn't mean that much to you, you'll be able to have more fun with it and you can at least say that you tried out and trying something new always helps when you're down in the dumps - it kind of interrupts that "blah" feeling.

Good luck!
