My sister made the mistake of telling my mother that i need to get a job while i am going to school. While she is correct in being concerned about my financial well-being, i cannot handle all the things i need to do this semester. I will be going to school full-time, tutoring, volunteering at two places, and (hopefully) seeing my wonderful ( Read more... )

I know what you're going through. My younger sister tried to justify going to school and going to work, both full time as more than what I was doing, which was working full time, two jobs. I played the physical disability card on her, but she trumped it by saying that I'm still "able" to work. I really hate it when people do that.

Sorry, this is supposed to be about you, not me. Anyhow talk be damned with your sister. You know what's best for you. Nobody can ever equate how hard they're working compared to someone else. Except for extremely lazy people.

Anyhow I'm off to a metal show tonight. Hope things are well. We need to hang out some time as well.

You go girl.

i totally understand how you feel. you don't need work while going to school. yes i set aside availability days, but that doesn't mean that i will work all of them or that i can always do that. you need to be volunteering to get into your program, so you need to concentrate on school and volunteering. so don't worry about the job. i know you need the money, but your health, mentally, emotionally and physically is more important than any amount of money in the world!

shell is going to school full time and probably working, but i'm not HER either. i just hate always being compared to others, it's no good.

people just SHOULDN'T do it! ESPECIALLY if they ARE family!

~end rant~

i love you! and i know that you know what is best for YOU!

take care and have a great day!

p.s. what are you doing tonight? we might be going to the cactus club if you would like to come along....
