Without commenting on who I work for or who I represent, I can only say that the group I work for and those I represent do not oppose this legislation in its current form. There is some concern about potential future actions, but they support this as a reasonable effort to solve the uninsured problem. We actually included a proposed individual mandate in a footnote to a 1993 policy recommendations on health care and that was it--we were too afraid to put it into the main body.
