Hello, my lovely LiveJournal friends!
I'm bored. So I... made a meme? Is that something one can just do? Well, I'm gonna give it a go. It's only seven questions long (I'll post them with my answers first and then a blank version at the end if you want to play), so if you're a bit bored too, we can entertain each other! :)
1. How long have you

Since January! (and yes, I had to look it up because, as usual, I couldn't remember!)
But I think I had a different account years and years ago - just like a random babbling blog thingy - no clue what the username or anything would have been.
2. How did you come up with your online name(s)? Does it have any special meaning?
gluedwithgold is a reference to the Japanese art of Kintsugi - repairing cracks and breaks in pottery with seams of gold, therefore transforming something once thought broken and useless into something more beautiful than when it started. It's a metaphor for my struggles with depression and anxiety and the past damage of abuse - I may have had cracks and breaks, but I've worked really hard to repair them in positive ways, and I'm stronger, better and more beautiful than before.
3. Why did you join LJ?
I think someone I know badgered me into it...:-p (love you, Manda!). Seriously though - for the fic challenges!
4. What do you like about it? What keeps you active ( ... )

2. Have I mentioned how much I *love* that? I remember reading a blog post of yours about that once (was it on blogspot maybe?? #SoManyBlogs), and I still think it's beautiful. And an awesome metaphor ♥
3. hehehe - love you too! :-*
4. YES, NO WANK. People seem to put so much more time and thought into their interactions here; it makes for a much happier space. Also, spoilers are better hidden!!
5. Hehehe - obviously, as one of the people who 'badgered' you into joining LJ, I had to be one of your first mutuals! Hmm, twitter though... I just remember that our friendship really picked up when we started writing 'A Merry (Blushing) Christmas' as a surprise for Sammie :)
6. YOU WOULD MENTION THE MOUNTAINS. JERK.

7. I did indeed say random. I enjoy random. I'm glad you won! XD lol

4. I think LJ is a much slower pace than twitter or other platforms - therefore, the people slow down, which results in thinking before they speak (or type). Amazing what a few more seconds of thought can do, eh?
5. We were so freaking obsessed with getting that story written! lol - there were quite a few late nights on that one!
6. *whistles innocently*

I wouldn't have made the connection though, your username reminds me of arts and crafts, which is cool, too.

I'm very happy I joined LJ too, though it does occasionally still frustrate me, lol. (Though it's never anywhere near as awful as tumblr XD)

As far as meeting/friending you specifically-Sil suggested we look each other up at Minncon, and the rest is history! 😘

Since 2008 though it never feels like it's been that long.
2. How did you come up with your online name(s)? Does it have any special meaning?
My online name is a hold over from my time writing Aerosmith fanfic. I wanted something that would tie me to the band but not be too obvious at the time and I hit on Simoriah which was a song title on one of the band's albums. In particular I latched on to a set of lyrics in it that went "long hair, blue eyes, she drives me crazy" which sort of matched my looks at the time and it's just transitioned with me to SPN fandom especially since Simoriah is easily shortened to either Sim or Simmy. *winks*
3. Why did you join LJ?
For a safe place to repost my Aerosmith fanfic for a new audience but after awhile I dropped out of that entirely and got hooked on this strange little show called Supernatural and I've never looked back since. LOL
4. What do you like about it? What keeps you active here?I like the groups that host all the different writing ( ... )

Aerosmith fanfic, huh? Can't say I knew that even existed until just now, lol. Cool! I'm glad you stuck around long enough to get caught up in SPN fandom, too ;)
Friending memes ftw!
Totally know what you mean about the haircut! *Especially* after going so long without one!! Pretty sure I've gone two years before, too, and holy cow is that refreshing when you finally go in to have it chopped.
Oh dear, moving over the holidays! Good luck!!!
Thanks for taking the time to answer my silly questions ^_^

Amen to the haircut being refreshing, totally looking forward to not having to wait an hour or more for the damn mop to dry out especially with everything else going on.
I'm both excited and stressed silly over trying to get the cogs in gear for packing up and moving. I love our new house though since I essentially get my own loft apartment area, it's just a matter of packing up over a decade's worth of stuff and clutter that I'm not looking forward to. *headdesks*
