Last place on our trip now - Krakow!! Although been slightly ill, and very tired (went from Odessa to Lviv on overnight train then straight away on another overnight coach Lviv to Krakow!) Krakow is so beautiful. Disadvantage is hearing tourists on every corner, we hardly saw any at all in Ukraine ( Read more... )

Made friends with many people on our trip, most of them crazy in some way, like this morning we were sat in the train station at 5.30 AM and a guy who's saving up money to be an icon painter by working as a sailor made friends with us and started explaining to us in great depth about his love of role-playing games and medieval reenactment. Spent a couple oif days in Sevastolpol - a formerly closed city in the Crimea. A very strange experience definitely!! Just arrived in Odessa this morning, which looks really lovely - well, maybe anything would really after the last place. In hostel with free internet, wooo : )

we're in kiev and after a 20 hour train journey being chatted up by some drunken poles, we're feeling quite exhausted!! after wandering round the station for a few hours trying to find the cheap hotel there, found it, and it was fully booked. Italy is absolutely amazing - highly recommended!! Can't believe i've not been there before. Beautiful sea, beautiful mountains, laid back lifestyle, good coffee...

am really excited, and a little scared.
