I sang today walking into class and my professor heard me singing; it was "My Funny Valentine", so he knew it, too, and he told me I had a very pretty voice ( Read more... )

Haha. Even my TAs can't give me advice. They're like...

The problem is that Poli Sci and IR are seperate majors here, which has its perks, but I want to take something from each discipline, and they're making it impossible to decide!

No, it doesn't work that way here. I mean, I could take classes, but I'd likely have to time to. In Europe you don't get into the college/university itself and then declare your major; you get into the college inside the university, or rather, the department of your choice. I applied to the Department of Political Science, which includes IR as a separate major, and I applied to the Theatre Department in the Faculty of Humanities and the Department of Journalism in the Faculty of Social Sciences. Each major gives me about 10-15 obligatory classes, and I'm required to major in at least two disciplines during my first year, so I probably won't have time to take on a minor--although I'd like to!

Holyshitfuck, you're parents are awesome.

And pfah. Don't worry about the "either/or" deal, now. It's not like those in the theatre and voice professions NEVER EVER went to college. A good lot of them did.

Also, I stayed with the major I declared upon entering college for, hm...a year and a half before something happened that made me change my mind.
It's not like they can force you to stick to it...can they?

YAH they are.

Good point you've got there. It's difficult to keep in mind how flexible things really are, especially in this university. But. What will happen will happen.

(I don't think they can make me stick to a major, but I know they can and will try their hardest to keep me from switching...)

Yay for amazing parentals!

So, I think I forgot to tell you, but you know that Will & Grace scene that you told me about that once and you had as your header a while back? The one where Jack, Will and Grace all end up holding each other's boobs? Yeah, well, I saw that episode finally!! Haha! I loved it!

I liked that touch of alliteration.
