It's about her latest album, As I Am, which is basically complied of Christian songs, and has been dubbed "inspirational" to avoid being overly associated with Christianity (which is silly--it IS Christian, and lovely, I don't see the problem

And I love that she says that she wants to be a "Christian like Christ". Because it's about love. She's so loved and adored by the gay community for what she's done, and I respect her so much for it too. Coming from where she did, it takes lots of guts.

She's a singer and an actress, most recently Annabeth Schott on the West Wing (during season 6 and 7), but with her roots deep in Broadway (she's probably most famous for her role as Glinda in the musical Wicked). She grew up in Oklahoma and she's pretty weird, but incredibly endearing, and REALLY talented--you can see her singing here ("If You Hadn't But You Did"), here ("Glitter and be Gay" from Candide), and here (giving a master class). She's insanely talented, it's like scary. She's also wee and blonde. You should check those out. =D
