Looks interesting... any idea who the burlesquers actually are on that night? Can't see any names up on that thread... x

Absolutely no idea, I'm afraid, I just found this on the New Model Army community. It sounds like something I saw during the coverage of Glastonbury Festival, but as I don't know what THEY were called, that's not much help, is it? Sorry!

Maybe. Just... and I don't wish to patronise the promoters here... but when peple organise a burlesque gig (or a gig with burlesque in it) the names draw the crowds in even if it's not a known name as such ("Burlesque from the amazing Shitty Von Spew!"), certainly as promoters go through the mill getting hold of burlesquers (not like DJs or whatever - everyone knows a DJ). Ah well... I don't think I shall make the special journey, but would be good to know how it went off. Am keenly aware that my finger isn't as on the burlesque pulse as it might be due to my hermit academic bit half the year. Thanks for sharing though! x

I kinda know what you mean. I can't go to Bradford, but if this sort of thing were in, say, Southampton, I'd travel to see it.

I hear you were in Wiltshire recently - why didn't you come and visit me? (Only joking, I'm sure you were busy!)

I might go along to see this, if I do I'll let you know what it was like.

And thanks to you, my friend, for the info! Cheers!

Please do go and report back, Agent Kathy! It's much nearer you than anyone else on my friends list!

Happy to be of service!
