Ya I believe it was around $100 bucks for the one contact, also do you find that you can feel the contact in your eye because it's so thick?

With your contacts-- I have astigmatism, and I've tried soft lenses for astigmatism, but they still don't work as well as the gas permeable lenses. Gas permeable contacts are hard rather than soft, but they're still very comfortable, and they allow you to see so much better than even the best soft contacts for astigmatism. Maybe you could talk to your doctor about them-- they're not much recommended any more, but I've had them for 14 years, and I only have problems with them when my eyes are really dry.
