I don't know how many of you ever played The Oregon Trail for the good ol' Apple IIe, but thanks to my dear friend Charlie (meeting her is one of the things I am most thankful for about working on the nightmare that was Caucasian Chalk Circle), I have recently rediscovered it using the magic of emulation. I was just doing some good ol' internet stalking when I saw Ore-y-gone trail pics. I was just telling a co-worker how much I loved that game and wondering if you can still find it somewhere.

Y'know, I got the link from a friend's AIM profile but I'm sure I could find it again. All you need is an Apple IIe emulator and the game. Or I suppose I could just upload the files for you if you'd like.

PS: Yay Portland natives! WOO! I miss home!

Thanks for the info. I don't want you to have to go out of your way, so I'll try and hunt down that Apple IIe thingy-ma-bob...I think I can trust my Googling™®© abilities.

Actually, I just moved to Portland 10 months ago. I love this city, and I can see why you would miss it so much. Are you away just for school, or are ya gone for good?

Let me know if you haven't found the Apple IIe and Oregon Trail yet.

As for Portland, I'm away for school at the moment. And I'm sticking around here for the summer - maybe longer, depending on how long my heart can go without a visit home. I'd love to settle back down there, but there's so much still going on in Chicago. It really tears me up sometimes.
