there's a blood sun eying burning fields in texas tonight, and that bitch-familiar scent of smoke on the southeast wind. The smell that kills all dreams of warm places and home cooking. hope i don't smell bridges.

I was hoping to see you on New Year's to thank you for your lovely Christmas gift (which I am referring to generically because I can't remember how to make the keyboard prodouce umlauts at the moment, and refuse to Anglicize good German mulled wine and cake), but didn't get to...plans for the evening didn't work out as hoped, mostly because of the physical lingerings of Creeping Gazitis. Miss you, and hope to see you soon.

I don't know what's going on either. I know some of who is involved - former member of Westminster and some old friends from Denton - and I'm sad to say it looks like there will be some permanent rifts. Right now, that's all I know. Prayers for peace have been added to the list - I don't know right now what else to ask for.

Best wishes to you and yours, and a warm cuppa whenever you may want it,

Arianna

you and yours are most beloved and welcome. thought you were curled up in Wichita Falls.

As for the rest... what the hell, the thing about being an adult, with a life, a mortgage and 9 minimouths to feed, i do not show proper interest in other people's psychodrama. rumourmill olympians often mistake my odd stillness upon receiving their pearls as dullwitted indifference and so take their priceless source of breaking news elsewhere. if they would only be patient and probe a little deeper they would find instead a bitch slapping jeremiad hurling volcanic bloodrage. or not.

Again I say, sometimes it's a mixed blessing to be sick, out of state, out of the country and outof the loop. I have *no* idea what's going on, but I know we're long overdue for lunch. As soon as I stop coughing contagion. ;)

radar says cowtown is surrounded by the beast on 4 sides and still manages to get out with singed heels and a cinder in the eye. so far.

strange thing about always being here. it makes me invisible to the constantly moving, like I'm the one in flight. truckstop coffee at time of your choosing. now i can muse over one and a half of you.

I'm totally ignorant of what you speak too. I hope you're well now. Last word I had was pre-RCC & that was that you were ill. I'm sorry you missed it.

I can't wait to see you at Orientation. Hang in there, my friend!
