There are these poster sized things up in the archives with portrait-photos of frat guys. There is one brilliant stud who is on the board from 1971-1979 (though there is a year... 1973 maybe... that he is not in it). In every single picture he is wearing sunglasses. You can see his weight go up and down over the years, the varying levels of grease

frat guy went to school for 7-8 years?

My professor suggested that he might have gone to Vietnam but that even not counting the year he missed I think it ends up being 8 years of school. I'm just so fascinated by it! Why was he there for so long? Now the frat guys have to get a certain GPA or they get kicked out but maybe that wasn't the case in the 70s. And it's just a college so no one goes here for more than 5 years max. Clearly he was just too awesome to leave.

at an antique store in olympia at some point, i was going through the old pictures and showing cubbie the ones i liked, when i realize that pretty much they wore all of the same person, nancy brua. even in the group photos, she was usually the only one identified. i was intrigued because of the consistent use of the full name - it added some distance to the whole thing?

anyway, i bought what i could afford and upon later googling, found only a donation to a newt gingrich campaign (she was a military brat, as was he).

this post's reminder has brought up another donation. whee.
