I'm sitting here with Max, trying to teach the poor child that the number 5 is not supposed to be written backwards.. and I keep trying to remember learning how to write and read, but I cant. I can only remember being able to read faster than everyone else by the time I was in the first grade. I never liked math and always had a horrible time with

i dont remember either... the only thing i remember is that i was so excited that i "thought" i knew how to read... but i had really just memorized the book...

i distinctly remember having to right the word "bear" on a bulliten board in kindergarten and writing my name in all caps...but that's about it...and i do remember always being better than everyone else at math

ha You're lucky to be good at math.

I do remember always mixing up the letters B and D and my teacher would write the word BED on the top of my paper so that I would remember... I still mix them up sometimes, but only when I'm writing so fast and sloppy I wouldnt be able to read it anyway
