New icon: Emmy RossumI love Nicole Kidman, but even I'm getting a bit tired of looking at her every time I log onto LJ. So I've decided to do something dramatic -- I've decided to change my icon! Howdy! I like your new icon, she's very pretty. I saw her in The Day After Tomorrow (oh my gosh, do not see that movie!!!) I would really love to see Phantom, but our small 6 screen movie theater won't be getting it - so I'll have to wait to rent it.

Well, I was indeed thinking about seeing The Day After Tomorrow just for Emmy -- but so far I haven't acted on that desire. From your comment, it sounds like I haven't missed anything! Nonetheless, I'm tempted...

Phantom isn't a phenomenal movie -- I was mainly fascinated by Emmy. The two main leads weren't that great -- I'd take Ewan McGregor in Moulin Rouge or Gene Kelly in anything he's done with absolutely no hesitation! I'd give up on leading men in modern musicals if not for the former...

Thanks. It's from a painting that my step-neice's boyfriend's father painted. He's a successful painter and for Christmas Missy gave us all a porcelain box with one of his paintings on the cover and a box of notecards with his paintings. I scanned in all of the notecards and made some of them into LJ icons.

New icon is gorgeous, although I'm a little sad to see Nicole go, 'cause you know, then we sort of shared a name, LOL.

Oh well. Emmy is beautiful, and change is good. ;)

Oh, Nicole is still around and will probably make a reappearnce -- and you know what? I'm actually jealous of you for heaving the same name as her. For years I wished that my parents had been smart enough to name me Audrey (Hepburn) or Allegra (Kent -- the ballet dancer). Oh well -- I'll just have to make a name for myself :)

I can't believe that Emmy is only 18 when I saw and heard her in Phantom she is amazing. That is a beautiful pic that you have as your icon too.

Hi I'm Leslie and I saw your intreste din the Washington BAllet and American Ballet Theatre. I dance with Thw washington ballet and just got accepted to ABT. DO you dance at Washington?

I apologize for taking so long to answer your question -- I'm currently in Russia and have very littel access to the Internet! Yes, I suppose I do dance in Washington -- that is, I take the adult classes at Wash. School of Ballet, but that's the extent of my dancing! I never have and never will dance professionally -- I started ballet when I was 16 -- but I love it more than anything. By day, I'm a student at Georgetown University, although I'm currently studying in Russia. My ultimate goal is to be a dance critic, but we'll see if that ever works out...

Congratulations on your acceptance to ABT! That's QUITE an accomplishment. Are you going to accept their offer in turn?

Woops I u obviously rnt in a level lol, but my mom takes the adult classes and i come and watch her somtimes! so u take with stephen hes great! i luv him! anyways ill just have to see you at an adult class sumtime...
