An update -- FINALLY!

Jun 06, 2005 23:39

I have neglected my LJ for so long that I wonder if any one still bothers to read it… I hope so, because I have met such wonderful people through LJ, and I don’t want to lose that.

UPDATES

The following few paragraphs cover very little of the past month and a half. Nonetheless, they give an idea of what I’ve been up to…

My semester in St. ( Read more... )

Thanks for the encouragement! Yes, I do want to take advantage of the fact that I have free high-speed Internet again (for a while, anyway) and do some LJ writing (and reading!)

Well, guess what, Sophie... you're on my Friends list and thus on my Friends page, so I read every journal entry you write! Including this one. :) I'm really excited for your trip to Slovakia and Romania. Your research project does sound daunting, but I know you can do it--and I'll bet you'll have a ball doing it!

Too bad about not being able to go to the gymnastics competition, but I'm with you... without Paul & co., it's just not the same. ;) But I know you'll have fun watching on TV... after all, it's still gymnastics! :)

BTW, I don't know if you ever finished reading any of my stories, but I did finish "I Will Carry You" as well as a Morgan sequel called "When Morgan Met Megan... Again." I'm currently approximately waist-deep in a second sequel called "Collide" that is available only to PHLJC members.

I'm telling you this basically just to let you know that if you ever feel like taking a break from all that heavy reading with some light reading... you can check them out. ;)

Welcome back! :)

Gald to hear that, Nicole!

Wow, you've been busy with writing! Yes, I did finish "I Will Carry You" (loved it, of course, but hopefully I've aleady given you some positive feedback) and I look forward to reading the other ones. I do need a break from my research and a good dose of Paul and Morgan sounds perfect!

Hey Sophie - I read your entries as well, as they are on my friends list too. Glad everything went so well in Russia. Good luck with your research project it sounds really interesting - I would love to give you some help but it has been 8 long years since I studied Anthropology in college (it was my major but I focused more on the Archaeological side of things).

Well, if you think of any brilliant ideas or anthropological insights, let me know! Although I know that eight years is quite a long time -- I have no idea what to do with an integral (calculus) or how to balance equations (chemistry), and it has been only three or four years since I studied these topics in-depth in high school. I'm guessing you didn't end up going into teh filed of anthropology?

Looking forward to reading your LJ when I get a chance :)

There is nothing exiting in my LJ let me tell you (mostly quizzes). Guess I need to start updating it! LOL

You guessed correctly about not going into the field of Anth. I realized I did not have the physical ability to do Archaeology in the field (I get heat stroke really easily) and 8 or more hours in the elements was to much for me. Though I do miss it. Instead I work in a public library in youth services and have started my masters degree in Library Science.

If I think of anything brilliant to help, I will let you know - but don't count on it! LOL

Hey Sophie!

I hope you can figure out who I am! =) (Hint: Calendar!) I changed my LJ name and its been a while since I've been here, but really want to get back in touch with my old friends. Sounds like you've had quite an experience while abroad.

I don't blame you for not going to the European Championships. No Paul or Morgan would be a no go for me to! =)

Hope all is well and hope to see you in my LJ soon! *HUGS*

Буду очень признательна, если поможете мне победить в конкурсе красоты.
Победа в этом конкурсе ОЧЕНЬ много для меня значит! Заранее благодарна всем, кто откликнется на мою просьбу.

С Уважением, Беатриса.
