Why "Joe the Plumber" matters

I've been watching this "Joe the Plumber" thing with a good deal of amusement. Because, on one level, it's amazingly stupid, and the idea that it could have a major effect on the US Presidential election is, frankly, nuts ( Read more... )

I don't think Joe the Plumber will cost Obama the election. But messing with the World Series might.

While I don't think too many people are going to be bothered by the World Series getting pushed back 15 minutes, the sheer arrogance of a first term Senator giving a "State of the Union Address" a week before the election strikes me as really risky.

I'm also curious as to why ABC isn't carrying it, and am curious if CNN will be carrying it.
