Hopefully it is a combination of both. [Go go gadget global warming!]

I am still reminded of a geology class I took where the professor was dead-cinch certain we were exiting our interstadial and about to go into the next ice age.

[Effect for effect, glaciation would be MUCH worse for humanity than global warming, even with flooding and more violent weather - just think about the loss of growing seasons!]

What thickening of the Antartic Ice? It is melting as well. Ice Burg Calving is Up and the Ice shelfs are shrinking. Some of the ice shelfs the Emperors used to use for breeding are no longer usable and they are traveling further inland for safety.
The South is suffering as well.

And the most curious thing about it -- modern science is not able to model or extrapolate this process, in spite of all attempts.

Which is to say, all those people who make claims about what's going to happen, and why it's a disaster that must be stopped right now, actually have no idea what they're talking about. Yes?
