Being a normal human?

Parent got her replacement drivers license, and credit cards today, and she was joking about being a normal human again and being linked into the world again. It made me laugh but also made me wonder what links us into the normal networks of our society. Especially given that ID, and similar requirements have been waived over and over again in the ( Read more... )

Rebuilding sustainably would be great. :)
A couple of people over here have been sending donations to Red Cross, that was nice (once we convinced them that made more sense than mailing clothes from NZ).

I'm glad to hear things are coming together again for Di. I have a doona, bedlinen, pillows and towels that I'd be happy for her to have if she'd like them. I can easily take them to the Salvos if not.

The ideas for Marysville's rebirth sound exciting and interesting. I'd hoped to visit Marysville for a weekend away in the next few years, and I'm sad that I'll never see the old place. But one day I'll see the new one, I'm sure.
