I've decided to just stick it out here. This isn't a bad apartment, and it's cheap. Instead, I am remodeling a little bit. I bought a small entertainment center and some new chairs. It is such a pretty day outside. It reminds me of how important having a yard is to my soul. My miniscule apartment has tons of windows, which are it's selling point, but I need more than that. I need some earth that is my own. I want to plant herbs, veggies, and flowers. I want to have a compost pile. Most of all, I want a hammock ( Read more... )

If you've ever waited tables and for some God-unknown reason want to take a trip down memory lane, rent Waiting. I did.

It was accurate to a point that it was unsettling. I saw former self in several of the characters, and knew all of the others. God, I'm so glad I am out of all of that mess. Just thinking about it makes me queasy.

I just finished watching the opening ceremonies. I loved the giant skating man at the beginning. The Formula 1 car was by far my favorite part. What I didn't understand was the awful 80's music blasting in the background. At one point the commentator said "Yeah, I'm sure the ----- team asked if YMCA could be played as they made their entrance." Heh ( Read more... )
