Badgerdog Literary Publishing is organising a short story contest. Deadline is on the first of December. I think we should all enter it tbh.

Oh yeah, I guess I haven't written any entry to say I was 'home'.
Been here since last tuesday except this week-end, went to Bordeaux to see some friends. Might type a proper entry about that later actually.

There are probably hundreds of short story competitions running all over the world at any given time.
Good luck <3<3<3

That's interesting. What do you intend to submit for the competition?

Well, I'm not sure I'll submit anything but I've been working on a couple of short stories these last few weeks, if I'm happy with one of them before the deadline I might submit one. I'm sure they're pretty boring though ^_^

One is about a guy about to move to a new place after finishing uni and reflecting on what he's leaving behind him and the other is about a young woman who's got only a few months left to live and has a tough choice to make after meeting someone and knowing they're falling in love. Pretty generic I know but I'm just trying to work on describing emotions in a realistic yet non boring way :o

I'd be interested in reading them. It sounds like your writing is more idea based than plot based (which is a good thing!) What sort of books are you into?

I've had ideas of doing more writing for ages now, but have no idea where to start :(

:}
If I ever finish them I'll make sure to post them here then :)

And I don't know what sort of books I'm into actually, I just like books with lots of words ;)
But yeah, I like books that are idea based, don't really care about the plot when I read something...

And I know what you mean, knowing where to start is difficult... :/ Personally I tend to just try to imagine how this or that kind of person would act and feel in a given situation, and then see how they would adapt to some kind of change happening in their life... :o
