I'm trying to take a screenshot from a DVD I watched tonight but all the programs I've used so far are rubbish and useless, can anyone suggest one that actually work? :/
Hypersnap DX is what you want, you'll need to use the "Special Capture" though
Failing that, go here -
Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot
- and turn Hardware Acceleration to "None". Theoretically from there you should be able to just do a standard Printscreen / CTRL+V into whatever photo app you want. Just make sure to turn it back on when you're done :P
Media Player Classic has a "save image as" feature. You pause it where you want it to take the picture and then save. It doesn't come out huge, like 480x640 i think? I haven't done it in awhile. But if you're just looking to make an icon or something it'd be perfect.

I'd suggest one if I'd seen one work in the last few years.
Remember that one Beetle tried? :p
