Hmmm, accomodation is more expensive in HK but flying to Seoul is more expensive, and flying to Tokyo obviously isn't cheap either... I can't make up my mind D:

Maybe I should do what my mum suggested and just take the Trans-Siberian to Vladivostok and fly to Shanghai from there ^^;;

Don't worry, I'll definitely make up my mind before it's too late. I'm just still comparing the different options because I'm obviously interested in all of them as no matter where I end up I know I can't lose and I'm gonna have a fantastic time. ^_^

... I think I'm gonna end up in Hong-Kong because that's my mum's favourite option and I know she'll do her best to convince me I should definitely go there :p (and it's probably the most sensible choice anyway for it's many reasons...)

Tran-Siberian and Vladivostok both sound awesome. I would totally go with that.

I'd go with that if I didn't need a visa to go to Russia, can't be bothered to fill all the administrative crap and it would probably take too long anyway :/

WTF? You need a visa to visit Russia for even a short period...? What a load of rubbish :boo

Trans-Siberian would have been an awesome (albeit very time consuming) way to go... next time, next time?

Couple of weeks? :o

And yeah it's a great idea but it takes weeks to get the visa :/ (I know because my parents went from Moscow to Vladivostok on the Trans-Siberian almost 5 years ago...)

I was gonna say galaxy express 999 trans-siberian get's too, but you're right, the VISA stuff would require way to much time... Anyway, any destination sounds fine (as long as you've got enough money)
