Ooh I just watched these! What an interesting concept that first one is. I really thought you added a creep value to it. Very lovely. I didn't want it to end. And the last one is made of LULZ!!! :)
The first one was really an experiment. I swear I've never done so many effects in one vid. :DDD But I'm glad it seemed to have worked and in exactly the ways I wanted it to.
I still feel slightly incredulous about the fact that I actually made a joke about the Blood of the Fold. But hey! Whatevhs. There is more where that came from. I have plans for sequels, including infomercials for Chandalen's DIY Household Chores sort of thing. YES. You too can have an exciting straw roof and daub-and-wattle walls for your hut. Chandalen will show you how.
Thank you so much for the feedback. I am glad you got the jokes and I wasn't just humoring myself only. :DDD
The second book I found very long and very grueling. I think it could've been half the size it was and been that much more awesome. But the first book was pretty good and I enjoyed the story very much. But honestly? I don't know what you will miss not reading further. I enjoy the perspective of "Objectivism! In action! In fantasyland!" and the portrayl of what could only be called "divine love" with Richard/Kahlan. Also, Kahlan = so. much. win. But other things I could do without.
Mostly I could do without a lot of the gore in parts of the novels. It can be really graphic. Generally I don't mind graphic, but there were parts that were too much and frankly excessive. If the author had pulled back just a little and implied a little more, it would've made things better, IMHO.
The earth rejoices. The birds sing a happy song. And flowers bloom.
And the best thing about it all is that it's a testament of how head over heels I've made you fall for LotS/SoT (yes, I take all the credit:).
Take all the credit you want. I am learning that if you tell me to do something I should probably do it because DUH, it's inevitable. It's like watching NCIS - hooked! And now LotS/SoT.
Demin Nass the Legendary journies, oh yes. All the rape, pillage and plunder you can stomach in one hour.
Verna: Warrior Nun would be the MOST AWESOME SPINOFF EVAH. YOU KNOW WHY? THERE WOULD BE LESBIAN NUNS. THAT'S WHY. YAY! \O/
Oh, yes. Well, happy early 24th. Yaknow. ;P I'm so glad you liked these. :DDDD If you are satisified, my job is done.
You learn fast, my young padawan. Now let me give you an early warning: start looking into Bones. You'll be head over heels for it soon enough ;)
And let me tell you again - this is the best birthday present I got this year - heck, probably those past 25 years - and I can't get enough of it. But you're very wrong - your job is so not done. It's just beginning. You've opened the floodgates of crack and you know you have to follow through now :) (Diplomatic Immunity is so ripe for picking! And Verna the Warrior Nun waits for her time in the primetime spotlight!)
Bones . . . I did try it once before I even actually met you and I really really just didn't feel it luv. :( Honest. I could give it another go, but there's just something about it that doesn't captivate me. Also, I keep thinking about another friend's snarky commentary about the guy who played Angel's lack of well, charisma while he was on Buffy. Oh, Mr. Angsty Moody Vampire Maaan.
Diplomatic Immunity is spawning vids in my brain and I've only watched two eps. :DDDD It had me rolling in the hotel room last night trying not to laugh out loud and wake my poor mother. I think the third is out sometime this week. But be looking for downloads to get my greasy little paws on. CUZ. DUH.
I am almost convinced I ought to make it my premieres vid. I can guarantee that no-one else would have anything like it.
I may or may not have left you a really ridiculous button-mash-message over on vimeo in regards to Kahlan Is Poncy. It is, however, quite certain, that I almost fell off my bed with the sudden fit of giggles. Very enjoyable to say the least!!!
