As for this Bruce character, I personally would try to make peace. Now that being said, prepare for resistance.

Honestly if you think it's a good idea, I think you should explain to him that you think you made a mistake. The worse that could happen is him saying he can't forgive you, and it will be like right now..right? Good luck!
