“Yuri ah, go wake up the kids from the dinosaur room.” Sooyoung called out from the office, “while you’re at it, I need to talk with Seohyun.”
“Promise me no hair pulling.” Yuri ordered in a more authoritative tone, “promise?”
Yuri swore Sooyoung rolled her eyes when she opened the door to the dimly lit room.
“Soo wants to see you, I’ma wake up the kids now.” Yuri said quietly as she went over to pull open the drapes.
Heechul and Kangin were already wide awake sitting on their beds. Heechul busy admiring his hands while Kangin fumbled with his penguin doll, throwing it in the air and pretending that it can fly.
“Alright, resters come out with me. Put some wake up pee in the toilet first.” Seohyun waved her hands as Heechul and Kangin darted out of the nap room and into the main chamber. Donghae, extra sensitive to both noise and light, woke up as soon as the sun hit his eyes. He got up from his bed and stretched his arms lazily.
“Good nap Hae?” Yuri smiled sweetly as she undraped the other window. Donghae gazed at her, his eyes out of focus as he stared at the wall behind her body. “Hae?”
“Hungwy.” Donghae pointed at the clock above Yuri’s head. “Donghae hungwy.”
“Hae it’s not snack time yet, we have to go outside and play and then we’ll have snack.” Yuri knelt down beside Donghae who began to throw a fit.
“Donghae hungwy…” Donghae waggled on the cot before he started jumping on it. “Food. Food. Donghae want food.”
“You know what Hae… I can’t say no to you,” Yuri sighed as she patted Donghae’s head. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Eunhyuk and Leeteuk both wake up. Eunhyuk hugged his monkey doll while Leeteuk yawned and looked around, looking lost and confused. “Let’s get you some fish crackers.”
Donghae hopped off his bed and bolted for the kitchen. Yuri followed him as Donghae jumped up and down, pointing at the cabinets.
“I want Puff da Magic Dwagon…” Eunhyuk whined to Leeteuk while another kid song melody drifted from the music machine.
“Me too…” Leeteuk sighed as he picked up his two books and placed them neatly on one another.
“Puff da Magic Dwagon, wive by da sea…” Eunhyuk began singing as he bobbed his head left and right.
“Na na na na na na na, in a land called na na lee.” Leeteuk grinned happily as he hummed the music out loud.
“Oh Puff da magic dwagon, wive by da sea…” They both sang before they burst into a giggle of laughter.

“Go play now Donghae.” Yuri pushed him towards the book shelf when she heard an awful racket of noise inside the dinosaur room.
“Teukie, Hyuk you’re awake!!” Yuri knelt down between the two beds and ruffled both their hair. “Come on, let’s go outside.”
“Nooooo.” Eunhyuk wailed as he backed away from Yuri’s touch, “I want Puff da magic dwagon.”
“Hyukkie, Donghae is outside playing a puzzle already.” Yuri smiled and pointed outside where Donghae tried piecing the puzzle together. The boy actually looked confused as Eunhyuk’s eyes lit up. He got up and put his monkey doll down to join his best friend. Leeteuk picked up his books and walked out accordingly after Yuri turned to him.
Yuri stood up and looked at the remaining three boys. Sungmin, Shindong, Yesung. Yesung would be the easiest to wake up out of the three. Yuri dreaded the thought of waking up the other two.
“Yesung ah.” Yuri lightly tapped his shoulder, “Yesung ah.”
Yesung’s eyes slowly opened as it adjusted to the bright room.
“Wake up Yesung, time to wake up now.” Yesung got up and rubbed both his eyes sleepily before he reached out his arms as if he wanted something.
“Clipboard, do you want it?” Yuri knew what the boy had wanted. Yesung nodded his head as Yuri handed him the board.
Now was the hard part. Sungmin and Shindong were the two sleepy heads who would never want to wake up.
“Shindong wakey time.” Yuri shook the boy violently as Yesung looked at her, a look of terror on his face. “Shindong it’s time to wake up.” Yuri tore the blanket away from the chubby boy when he opened his eyes.
“Rise and shine pumpkin.” Yuri chirped before Shindong looked at her angrily as he pointed at his blanket. “No more sleeping Shindong, wakey time.”
“Sleep. I want blankey.” Shindong whined as he kept his finger on the blanket as Yuri folded the dark green cloth neatly.
“No more blankey. We have to go outside soon Shindong, come on go put some wake up pee in the toilet.” Yuri placed the blanket by Shindong’s feet and hopped over Donghae’s bed to Sungmin. Shindong rolled over and continued sleeping like a log.
“Sungmin, Sungmin.” Yuri cooed sweetly at the cute boy. Despite all the rules about no favouring kids at the daycare, Yuri obviously had a soft spot for Sungmin simply because he was adorable. He had a small overgap that made him look like a plump beaver, and he always had the cutest clothes ever. If Yuri ever wanted a son, Sungmin would be her ideal baby boy.
“Sungmin wake up.” Yuri nudged his small shoulders and pressed his hands lightly with her fingers, “Sungmin…”
Sungmin continued sleeping when Yuri grabbed his small shoulders and pulled him into a sitting position. “Sungmin it’s time to go outside now.”
Sungmin clicked the top of his mouth two times as he stretched his arms. His eyes never opened as he crashed back down onto his pink pillow, his arms wrapping around his favourite bunny doll. He was asleep before he fell back down onto his bed.
Yuri bit her lip as she shook the boy more harder. “Sungminnn wake uppp timeee.”
Sungmin’s small hands pushed her away as he snuggled closer to his bunny doll, his breathing calm and peaceful. His messy hair made him even cuter as he continued dozing off into la la land.
“Sungmin come on. Wake up.” Yuri shook him again and again, his whole body moving as if it were dancing by itself on the bed. Sungmin finally opened his eyes and glared at Yuri.
Normally Sungmin was chirpy and all smiles. But whenever Sungmin had his sleep interrupted, he was a scary, but nonetheless adorable, child. He quickly yanked on his pink socks and slipped his small feet into his shoes and stormed outside.
Yuri started laughing because Sungmin looked so angry about being waken up from his nap. She turned around and continued her outburst of laughter as Shindong remained sprawled on his cot, rolled over to the other side as he continued sleeping.
Yuri walked out of the dinosaur room and began trying to cheer up Sungmin, who was still grumpy, the cute little dark circles around his eyes as he squinted his eyes in disgust at the noise Heechul was making. His small lips curved into a pouty frown as Yuri wrapped her arms around him and hugged him.
“Yuri ah… they so loud.” Sungmin stomped his feet and pointed at the pale skinned Heechul.
“Heechul stop making all that noise. Inside noises please.” Yuri called out before crouching down as she held Sungmin in her arms.
Another scream followed by more shouting ensued while Yuri cuddled against Sungmin, making the cute boy giggle as his small hands tried pushing Yuri away.
“Inside voices Heechul.” Yuri called out again, “don’t make me say that again or you will have to play by yourself.”
“That wasn’t me…” Heechul began before he was interrupted by another shriek.
“Oh god…” Yuri realized it was Sooyoung and Seohyun fighting inside the office again.
