Kyuhyun felt like his world was turned upside down when he opened the message.

His mouth fell open, his usual sarcastic and mischievous side completely extracted from him as he stared blankly at his phone. He grabbed the handrail for support as he nearly fell off his feet.

Suddenly it rang, bring Kyuhyun back to his senses.

Call from Sungmin, answer?

Kyuhyun pressed the green button, his ears immediately blasted with sobs and whimpers.

~*~*~*~ Meanwhile *~*~*~*

Yesung pushed open the glass door when he scrambled for his phone, the vibration alerting him of a new message.

He opened the message when he stood there motionless, as if his feet were rooted to the floor. He was expressionless, nothing but shock plastered over his face.

~*~*~* Meanwhile ~*~*~*~

Hankyung looked up at the flashing red number when the elevator beeped before he felt his phone vibrate, sending a shockwave down his thigh.

He politely entered the elevator before he screamed, scaring the three other people inside the elevator

His first instinct, he pushed the button on the nearest floor as he called Yesung, telling the older member to call Ryeowook and Sungmin, to make sure they were all right.

~*~*~*~ Meanwhile *~*~*~*~

Kibum rushed back to the hotel, stepping hard on the accelerator as he nearly broke every traffic regulation he had known, where Eunhyuk had supposedly jumped off the rooftop. His motorcycle whipped past every car as he swerved in and out traffic, changing lanes whenever something had halted his path.

He had received a call from Yesung and Hankyung respectively, their voices trembling even though either of the two were more coherent then Donghae. Yesung formulated words through his teary voice and Hankyung tried remaining calm, telling Kibum that everything was going to be fine, he talked with Siwon and he was fine and he had to reach Ryeowook as soon as possible.

Kibum hung up, ignoring text messages from Ryeowook and Sungmin, as he made his way back to the hotel.

When he arrived, a mass of people agglomerated at the scene, fingers pointing at the sky and chatters of nothing but gossip. Rumours were that he had been pushed off, some saying he did a prayer stance before he threw himself down the building. Nothing but bullshit. Yellow tap draped around light posts and parking meters, securing the section from bystanders as police attempted to direct traffic flow.

“Yesung.” Kibum called out as he spotted the older man crumpled on the street, just inside the tape. Beside him were Ryeowook and Donghae, both of them shriveled up and trembling.

Eunhyuk’s lifeless eyes remained opened, his pupils giving a bone chilling gaze as it stared at the pavement. Kibum almost threw up when he saw his cracked skull, bits of beige colored particles dotting the grey cement.

His neck was broken from the fall, located at an impossible angle. His arms and legs were sprawled out on the cement pavement, a pool of ruby red liquid gathered near his head from the open wound.

“Bummie…” Yesung weakly called out as Donghae held onto Ryeowook, who suddenly turned around and vomited. Donghae’s tear drenched face crinkled as Ryeowook jerked uncontrollably, his body trembling as he threw up his stomach contents.

Kibum placed a hand over Yesung’s shoulder as Yesung eased himself into his embrace. Kibum laced his fingers carefully into Yesung’s messy hair, brushing the strands as the older man sobbed silently into his shirt.

Minutes later, Siwon arrived, then Hankyung, and Sungmin and Kyuhyun soon after. The police gathered them together and escorted them away, to another hotel that their managers have arranged for them.

Kyuhyun and Siwon, both through tears, physically pulled Donghae away, his fingers clawing at the pavement, his nails ripping against the friction as they bled. Ryeowook and Yesung helped Sungmin up, who could barely even stand after he had saw Eunhyuk on the street. His legs buckled as Yesung hoisted the boy onto his back, carrying him onto a car.

Things were fucked up. And to be honest, Kibum thought it might be over. They could end the chapter and start fresh.

Except he was wrong. Very wrong.

~*~*~*~* Later that night ~*~*~*~*

Nothing but solemn sadness clouded over the remaining 7 members.

They all sat quietly in the open space, Ryeowook curled up against Yesung on the couch as Sungmin sobbed into his tissues on the sofa, Kyuhyun’s head against the arm rest as he kneaded Sungmin’s legs affectionately.

Donghae was on the floor, tears streaming down both his eyes as he looked up at the ceiling. His right arm draped over his forehead as he closed his eyes, another fresh stream of tears tracing the dried tears from before.

“It’s not Hyukkie.” Donghae blurted out as he shot up before turning around, “It’s not Hyukkie.”

“Hae…” Hankyung got up from the dining table and sat down beside him, wrapping his arm around the broken boy. Donghae accepted his touch briefly.

“Hyung, no, it’s not Hyukkie.” Donghae grabbed Hankyung and pulled the older man to him, “it’s not him, I swear.” Sungmin let out another wail as he reached for another tissue.

“Donghae ah… maybe you should get some sleep.” Yesung said quietly as he looked down at Ryeowook, who had cried himself to sleep in his lap.

“No, I’m fine.” Donghae pushed Hankyung off as he jumped up, waking Ryeowook from his brief doze, “how can it be Hyukkie, are you guys insane?”

“But Donghae…” Siwon said solemnly, choking on his words as he coughed.

“The text message…” Yesung flicked his head, his bangs mimicking the motion.

“No, I don’t care.” Donghae turned to Sungmin, “Sungmin you believe me right? Hyukkie didn’t do this, Hyukkie could never ever kill anyone. Tell them that.”

“Hae…” Sungmin sobbed as he pressed the tissue harder against his nose, blowing into the flimsy sheet of paper. Donghae walked over and knelt down on the ground, his hands on Sungmin’s knees as he pleaded to him.

“Hyung, don’t be like this…” Kyuhyun grabbed Donghae by the arm before Donghae reacted and jerked away.

“Let’s just…not think about it.” Sungmin opened his arms and hugged Donghae. Donghae pushed Sungmin back as he thudded against the back of the sofa, fresh tears welling in his eyes.

“No… it’s not Hyukkie. No…” Hankyung and Siwon got up; both of them sensing things were getting too heated.

“It’s not him…” Donghae shook his head in denial as he backed away from his members. He looked blankly at them, as if they were all distant strangers, as his back hit the wall.

“No…”

“Hyung, just face it…” Kibum spoke up from the kitchen, “the text message, his suicide… hyung…”

“Shut UP Kim Kibum.” Donghae covered his ears as he shook his head, “SHUT UP!”

“Hyung listen, at least he’s happy now.” Siwon proposed, Kyuhyun and Yesung nodding silently in agreement.

“He’s the one behind all of this, it makes sense, the will, how he asked for forgiveness,” Kibum ignored Siwon and continued spitting out the hard truth, the truth that Donghae didn’t want to hear.

“Kibum, shut the fuck up.” Donghae thundered as he stomped over to the kitchen.

“He killed Heechul and them, so he felt guilty.” Kibum continued, “So he killed himself. What do you not get?”

Donghae swung his hand hard, the smack echoing inside the room as Hankyung immediately planted himself between the two, stopping a fury of limbs flying in the air. Siwon slammed the door and bolted outside, the ding of the elevator faintly drifting inside the room as Yesung ran after him. Ryeowook kicked his feet as he buried himself against the corner of the sofa, where Yesung had been sitting, pressing his face harder and harder into the black leather. Sungmin winced while Kyuhyun shook his head.

Nothing but silence, except for Sungmin’s soft wails and Ryeowook’s desperate whimpers. Kibum clutched his swollen cheek as Donghae panted, his chest heaving up and down, his hand still in mid air after the hit.

“Deal with it Donghae.” Kibum spat out bitterly, Hankyung holding the boy down as he tried charging at Donghae, “Deal with it.”

“STOP IT.” Sungmin shrieked as Donghae bolted to the living room, “can’t we all fucking calm the fuck down.”

Donghae glared at Sungmin, his eyes burning with fiery. The boy stared back with equal, if not more, intensity. Sungmin rarely showed his pissed off side,

“Kibum…” Hankyung tried covering up his mouth but Kibum lost it. He wasn’t even himself as he exploded; his usual calm and collected state of mind did a 180 turn. He didn’t even recognize his own voice inside his ear as he vented out his concealed suspicions.

“Tell me why Eunhyuk was acting so weird after Leetuek and Heechul died.” Kibum pulsed with anger, his cheek still stinging with pain from the hit. Hankyung squeezed his shoulder and tugged at his hair, trying to calm the boy down.

“You know Hyukkie isn’t good with expressing his emotions, he just cries and wants to be alone.”

“Because he’s guilty.” Kibum shot back, his arms flew in the air. He stood up from his seat to further emphasize his point. “He’s fucking guilty for everything.”

Donghae jumped up and lunged at Kibum, pushing him over as he fell over the chair. Siwon immediately grabbed Donghae before he could kick the fallen Kibum.

“Hyung, let’s go.” Siwon dragged Donghae away into a room and closed the door. Donghae turned around and continued imposing threatening words on Kibum as he thrashed his way back.

Silence fell over the room except for Ryeowook and Sungmin’s sniffling, Kyuhyun and Hankyung’s deep sighs as Kibum slammed the door to a room. The ventilation from the hallway drafted into the room as Kyuhyun closed the door with a click.

~*~*~*~ Flash forward 3 months *~*~*~*~

“So… you framed Eunhyuk hyung…” Ryeowook pulled his hair tightly, his head shaking in denial, “you didn’t… you couldn’t…”

“I did, Wookie.” The figure said calmly, the nozzle of the gun rubbing his chin. Ryeowook flinched at the silver metal, the coldness void of any emotion, the tunnel dark and never ending.

“No, you didn’t…” Ryeowook backed away on the ground until he hit the wall, “tell me you didn’t… please…”

“I did Wookie, I framed him,” The figure laughed mechanically, “and it was actually amazing.”

Ryeowook drowned himself in his tears. He wasn’t who he was anymore. He wasn’t the same person Ryeowook used to know.

“How Kibum and them actually looked confused,” The figure twirled the gun in his hand before catching it again, the nozzle aimed right at Ryeowook. Ryeowook sobbed as the gun was facing him, the bullet path likely to take his life if the figure pressed the trigger, “it gave me a feeling of superiority.”

“What happened to you…” Ryeowook pleaded through his sobbing.

“Everything. It’s not my fault.” The figure dropped the gun, but Ryeowook didn’t feel any safer. Rather he wished the figure would pull the trigger, would end his life how he ended the others. Before, he was afraid of dying, afraid of facing the pain, the blood. But now, nothing mattered.

“It is your fault.” Ryeowook screamed. “It’s all your fucking fault. And you killed them too.”
