I woke up this morning, peeled back my pyjama sleeve...and the pretty red marks have gone. Siiigh. I was having fun scaring people with those- it's amazing how far people will jump back if you say "oh, it's infectious, I think". On the plus side, on closer inspection I've a pale green bruise, about three inches long and matching the colour of a ( Read more... )

Oh sushi I am now so hungry...

I love tiny Link and might have to steal one of those later.

On the subject of books, I haven't even heard of most of those on your list. I've only read a few. The Great Gatsby is a book that people usually either really like or really hate, and I'm in the former group. You could try reading one of Fitzgerald's short stories to see if you like his style. Mm, now I want to reread that.

I hated Toni Morrison's Beloved. It bored me and seemed predictable and trite in places. I was told by a classmate that disliking it meant I was a racist. That made me dislike it more.

*snerk* I suppose not being able to finish the first chapter of The Color Purple makes me racist, too. I just can't read dialects- Trainspotting, to name another, was horrible. On Amazon, someone says of Trainspotting "American readers can use the glossary in the back to translate the slang and dialect"- yeah, I'm not reading a book where I'm going to have to stop and translate everything.

Great Gatsby I'll try- it looks among the shortest of all the books, hee.

The sushi's making me hungry, too, but the minish cap icons just remind me I can't beat that smegging game. Gah!

I haven't beaten it yet, either. I'm to the very end, and have to get the final boss, rar.

He's impossible- I might have to see if I can get more hearts because I can barely beat the darknuts just before him, grr.

I love them. I love the vibrant colors of the sushi icons, and I may have to steal a few to test out some icon customizing skillz. I also like the goldfish-on-white-bg icon and a lot of the link icons.

Really. Thanks for providing. ;3

Glad you like them :) Now I'm all hungry...no sushi for me again for ages.

*pets the pretty centaurs* You change your icons so often!

Hmm, I doubt many people would add folks they'd like to insult to their FL :) Umm... "Your mother was a hamster"? That's all I can come up with, I'm afraid.

I'll have you know, my mother is a gerbil and is very sensitive...she's sulking now :P

That's what I thought- then again, maybe the random people passing through would want to insult me.

(oh, and get a parrot!)

It's my trademark insult. From one of the Shakespeare plays I did, though I can't remember exactly which one... Damn, now it's going to bug me all day...
