D.C. G.S. Part II

My opinion of this game hasn't changed much after completing it. I'm just a little sad that there's no bonus "final completion" CG, which TMGS does have, which I have never gotten before, since my TMGS game completion leaves very much to be desired. >_<

Kei-san, Hatano Wataru's character, and your tutor. Take note, "tutor" and not "tuition teacher". He is the oldest of the Shinomiya brood, and the big brother taking care of everything and everyone in the Shinomiya family.

This somehow gave me the impression that Sanctuary would go deeper and have some little story about Kei-san's sacrifice, and the burden he had to shoulder as the surrogate parents of his 3 younger brothers. Which would be very realistic and touching.

Nein.

You have the card of loss thrown. You know, the one where you're almost knocked over by a car and the guy is at your bedside when you're awake, in the hospital, and he mumbles words of how he was so scared you'd go like his parents had done. And that he's suddenly decided that he'd love you for life.

Still, Hatano Wataru has a good voice.

He's probably the reason why I like the soundtrack of this game so much.

Aoi-senpai, of blonde-haired, blue-eyed origin, was my 5th playthrough. I was rather irritated with him in the beginning, because he tended to "lie" about his various conditions, and make a joke out of everything. He was not straightforward, was flirty, and very indirect.

It is later revealed that he - wait for it - is seriously ill, and is going to die soon.

Aha.

*-*

Not very original, but it'll do.
So Aoi-senpai has some peculiar excuse to tell half-truths.

Well, his ending CG was rather sweet.

And then, Ryuunosuke. My last playthrough.
A weird sort of fellow, randomly found at a restaurant when your bestfriend is with you, you decide to let him bunk with you while he regains his lost memory.
He was, at first, rather irritating. Wanting to be with you in school, at home, at night, in your bed, screeching, throwing tantrums, suddenly disappearing...

Until it is revealed, at the very end, that he was the little stray doggie you picked up one day, out of pity, thus saving him from a cruel life of destitution and solitary loneliness. He had been about to die, but made one wish to thank you before he would leave. Forever.

And so he thanks you, and leaves. Forever.

Which is absolutely sad, yet touching at the same time.
I have a dog of my own at home, and she's been getting on in years. So this tirade sort of reminded me that it'll be her time soon. To go. And I can see some very stark similarities between Ryuunosuke and my dog. Refusing to be alone during thunderstorms, getting all sad and lonely when left alone, barking, whining, whinging. But they're doggy characteristics, so you can't blame them.

And you can't help loving them for it.

I've lots of random comments to make about certain CGs in D.C. G.S., so wait for it.
