Kimi ni Todoke Live-Action

Just dropping by for a quick note!

I only recently watched the live-action for Kimi ni Todoke, after much anticipation. It stars Tabe Mikako and Miura Haruma as Sawako and Kazehaya, respectively, and is, of course, based on the popular manga series by Shiina Karuho. I expected to. enjoy the movie, and I did, although I was a bit confused at first because quite a few things changed from the manga.

Summary:

It stays quite true to the original series.
They changed quite a few incidents to make it flow better and to condense many volumes into a 2 hour movie, but the personalities of the characters were captured quite well.

Lots of doki doki moments.
So many heart-wrenching scenes within a short space of time! If you read the manga, you'd know that Kazehaya takes quite a while to say what he actually means, and there's a lot of misunderstanding, but he's far more direct in the movie... *-*

Although it's based off the manga/anime series, it still holds its own as a movie. I'd recommend watching it if you know what you're getting into. There's nothing really special about the plot per se (typical high school romance), but the way the story is told makes it. ;)
