And the most interesting part of it is that it's written by Alan Moore, who identifies as a magician.  I had no idea!  I loved Promethea though.

While I'm not finished reading it yet, he presents some interesting ideas.

Also this could have been 1/2 to 2/3 shorter if he used less obtuse language.

The main points, as I see it so far, is that there is not a lot of innovation in the magical scene since John Dee. Folks need to step up and be creative rather than just get fixated on the outdated and flashy props.
