Kleenex Klearcuts We've cut down most of the virgin forest left on this planet. We're continuing to destroy unique ecosystems so we can blow our noses once and throw it away. So the next time you get that drippy feel in your nose, use recycled tissue or egads, a real hankie. I have a bunch of hankies from my grandmother, and they're so cute and softer than any tissue. My nose never gets red and sore when I have a cold anymore. Plus, they're cheaper, since they're reusable and easy to wash.
So you want to go victorian, and pop that hankerchief up your sleeve, but wonder where to get them? Garage sales are great options, look for old people sitting at the top of that driveway, they'll have old stuff. Antique malls can be an option, but they're overpriced so watch out. To go ubercheap, nag your geriatric relatives for their old linens, or use a small scarf for over the top fasionista blowing. However you get your small squares of fabric, know that you're saving our remaining old growth forests while you save yourself some cash, and look cool doing it.
This has been a thought from your local(or not so local) dirty hippy. :)
