Why is it that the music we (this we is of course applicable to everyone by virtue of applying to Catie and I) listened to in middle school is full of fond memories despite middle school being almost innately and unavoidably miserable

I think that book would drive me crazy too. He spends over a page of the first chapter going on about what are male needs and what are female needs and then he gives this tiny disclaimer that that isn't always the case. Why not just... give the 10 basic needs and say that different individuals may value various needs more and that within a couple one partner might value a completely different set than the other person? I mean... the way he phrases it, it comes off sounding like "Women, you better have sex with your man whenever he wants it 'cause if not, he's going to have an affair and it'll be all your fault!" And that's just wrong. :-/
