..and if we are going to continue to participate in this farcical exercise we have been calling democracy, we could at least choose a party that isn't going to systematically destroy, piece by piece, both the planet and its people. (Though I doubt such a group of humans exists)

I wish I could say that I was involved in fighting the whole thing, but I'm far too complacent...which is how they get away with shit like this in the first place, the complacency and general disinterest of the people who could potentially create change because it hasn't immediately effected them.
And it is hard to figure out how to fight it...not that this is a valid excuse for my inaction...sigh.
