shopping: a walker's guide in the age of the internet, part the first (groceries)

i don't know how to drive. i'm not going to learn. (no, there's no use arguing. it's not for me.) the only thing this vehicular deficiency affects is shopping. (i can bus everywhere else that i need or, if necessary, use a cab, or, if available, borrow or trade a friend's services). but sometimes shopping has been difficult.

If you're baking your own bread often and you don't have a baking stone, it's worth the $30-40 to get one. You'll get better crusts. and they're also great for pizza.
