This sure as hell isn't very long but it did pop into my head and I wanted to write it down ( Read more... )

One of the reasons that I always like your Jean/Remy pairing is that his characterization in c/fanon fits perfectly with this ability to get under Jean's skin without even trying and pop the bubble of calmness/imperturbability that the writers perpetually tried to transplant to her from Ororo in the latter years.

I can't envision Jean and Scott ever having a full-throated knock out, drag out fight. With Remy....

When I first got into comics and didn't know that much about the characterizations Jean really just was the 'den mother' persona and it really doesn't take much digging into storylines to see that really wasn't who she was ( ... )

I glowered at his handiwork on the monitor some more. "You know," I yelled after him. "Rogue's sense of style isn't anything write home about either!" Trying to save face with former lovers crappy taste? Yes, this fight was OVER.

"I didn't let her pick out shit, either!"

Love. Love, love, love. It seems like a "hanging the drapes" story, but I've been starved for good fiction from you for so long that I'll read anything. ^_^

The funny thing is that I'm not altogether certain that a lot of these vignettes actually fit into a legitimate story. I am actually almost done with 'Lover Come Back to Me' which I've been posting at the Gambit Guild as it basically tells the tale of Jean returning to Remy after 'putting all of her pieces back together.'

Told first from Jean's POV and then continued in Remy's... but then I get all of these little moments and I don't want to lose them. Like this one... hell, it ended at the asterik first and then I continued the argument. It was fun but, like I said, I don't know if it actually fits into a story.

And then there is the ongoing saga in my mind of Bobby and Anna Marie at Hilton Head. Not to mention stuff from when Remy and Jean return to the mansion that I remain deeply uncertain about because it's not at all complimentary to Emma, yet, I think it's fairly true to an over-riding characteristic of hers.

What a big mess. Are they even stories? They're just... glimpses into these lives. It's all very strange.
