NAME: Violet Crispe
AGE: 27
BIRTHDATE: 12 May 1980
ZODIAC: Taurus
EMAIL ADDRESS: vcrispe5@juilliard.edu; vcrispe@nyu.edu

OCCUPATION: Former ballet dancer, Violet now attends New York University (NYU) in the hopes of getting a degree in English.

FAIRYTALE: The Ballerina from "The Steadfast Tin Soldier"
ABILITY, IF ANY: None.
STATUS: Wholly cognisant of her role as a tale, Violet doesn't talk about being a fairy tale to people whom she thinks won't understand and she asks herself, "Is he/she gonna think I'm nuts?" But close friends are a different story; she openly discusses her tale with Charlie, who is the Tin Soldier to her Ballerina, and will openly talk about her tale to other people who are interested. She's fairly trusting, so she doesn't like to think that people will use her tale knowledge against her.

Violet used to be one of those pretty girls in high school whom girls both loved and envied and boys really wanted, but she was always into her dance more than partying. When she couldn't dance anymore, Vi was a whole different person and had to figure out who she was separate from the ballerina. She's always been a person who wears her heart on her sleeve and she's very friendly but also very volatile in her emotions; some people tend to think of her differently since her leg was removed, and an awkward glance at her foot will earn a callous remark on her end. If someone mentions anything about her failed dancing career or anything about her foot, she immediately grows defensive. "What about my foot? Yeah, it's gone, what about it?" is a typical response regarding her amputated foot.

Despite being quick to rise to her temper in that aspect, Vi realizes when she's stepped over a line and will be just as quick to address her misgivings. She likes it when people like her, and when she was younger, she tried really hard to be everybody's friend. That was probably what made her so popular, everyone wanted to be her friend and she allowed and accepted that, unlike most other popular kids her age. Though she doesn't mind being everyone's friend, she is no longer so concerned with being popular and so well-liked. She likes having friends who like her for who she is.

FAMILY:
Mother - May Crispe
Father - James Crispe
Sister - Jillian Crispe

HISTORY: Violet Crispe was born and raised, along with her younger sister, in the suburbs of Philadelphia, the very city of love. With the very first memory of a past life, Violet Crispe (then five-years-old) knew she was meant to be a ballerina. Though she was completely unaware of the fact that these "dreams" were, in fact, memories from past reincarnations, even from such a young age Violet accepted it. She felt fated to dance, and was particularly skillful in the art even from a young age. Dance was everything to her, from the moment she woke up in the morning to the time that she collapsed into bed, and her feet sore and her muscles aching from dance. She was popular in school, and her friends came to see her dance. She graduated from the top five percent in her class and with her scholarship to Juilliard, she moved permanently to New York to join a ballet company. She loved dancing, because it felt so much a part of herself that she couldn't imagine doing anything else, not even when she was in a car crash that very nearly severed her right foot.

Violet was nearly twenty-four years old when she was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery following a terrible car crash that had almost severed her foot. The surgeon who overlooked her procedure and was given the task to save her foot was the prestigious Doctor Jasper Reynard, who happens to be another fairy tale reincarnate (though Violet doesn't know that!). When Violet awoke from her surgery, she was surrounded by friends and flowers, but she was also missing a foot. Eventually she took to walking again with the use of her prosthetic foot. Though she had a prosthesis and could dance once she retaught herself to dance using the fake foot, she couldn't even do a pirouette without remembering all the turmoil her surgery had caused, and especially remembering what she could have been just given the chance. After her surgery, Violet decided to go back to school and it was at New York University (NYU) that she took some English classes, and where she realized that she was a real live tale that everything fell into place. She was approached by Jacob Anser, the librarian of her tale who came from the Atheneum, and who explained everything to her. Now it all made sense, from Violet's memories that seemed to be hers, and yet at the same time were from someone completely different than herself.

It wasn't very long after her self-rediscovery that she also met her Tin Soldier. She recognized him from her past lives' memories, but she passed it off to him merely being a familiar face. When Violet came to realize who SHE was, and found out about Charlie as well, it all made perfect sense. It took Violet some time to seek out her Tin Soldier, but when she did, she was just as jovial and familiar as ever; she showed up on his door one day and introduced herself--"Hi! I'm Vi, your Ballerina. Wanna go out for a coffee?" And the two struck a friendship that day that Violet respects above all other relationships.

Violet is still attending New York University, this time going for an English major with a focus in European literature. Her rediscovery of self and the reconciliation with her tale struck a major chord in her; no longer is she solely the tale, the tale is a huge part of herself.
