Whatever had possessed Kaye to make the hop from her world to Euram's was beyond her. It wasn't exactly a secret that she enjoyed causing trouble for others, especially Euram, but she hadn't wanted something like this. Maybe that's what it was. Annoying people was one thing, letting them die another. Kaye would never let another die again ( ... )

The darkness closed in on him. His breathing began to slow down even more. It was hard to breath. He could barely feel the blood drying on his face. A sound caught his ear. A voice? He even thought he heard his name. Who was this that had come to his side? An angel perhaps. He suddenly thought of his sister. Oh... Luserina. He'd never get to see her again, would he?

"Lu...serina." Her name struggled off his tongue.

Had this been any other situation Kaye probably would have made fun of Euram for calling her by the wrong name, but right now KAye couldn't muster up on sarcastic or cruel thought. She was genuinely concerned about Euram's safety and her top priority was to take care of him.

Kaye looked around the forest. She couldn't leave Euram here, and she didn't have anything proper to bind her magic to, or at least nothing too obvious. She needed to move Euram, but the question was where to. She knew of only the inn here in Euram's world. But there was always here coffee shop. It was closed now and Luis kept all sorts of supplies in back for working with faeries and such. She only needed to move him long enough to take care of him before coming back.

"We're getting out of here, Euram," Kaye whispered. She placed a gentle hand on Euram's back and then pulled out her buzzer. In one second she found herself in the coffee shop back home.

Euram thought he felt a hand on his back, but he couldn't be sure. There seemed to be a change in surroundings, but he couldn't be sure of that either. All his senses felt lost in a haze of numbing confusion. That voice again. It sounded familiar. Was Luserina there? Had she found him and come to take him back? He missed her so much, his silly little sister.

Suddenly, Euram started coughing blood up again, and he let out a rattled moan.
