I loved the girlie show, I was literally a few feet from her when she came to the front of the catwalk. It was the most bizarre thing, I couldn't quite believe it was her. But these days she's much more accessable, trips to the local pub in London, washing the car, walking in the park, it's like she's within reach now. Back then she was just the heart of a huge Madonna machine.
I'm determined to get a good view this time as well, as much as Craig might complain as I drag him through the crowds. It a shame she hasn't been back to Oz since the girlie show, I know fans are up in arms that she's snubbed Australia and Japan, but she has her family to think of nowadays. Bless.

Ah yeah, I think there is a contingent that are quite annoyed that shes missed Australia and the UK, but I guess people have to understand the cost and logistics involved in carting something that huge to a country that only offers 4 or 5 cities max. It just isn't worth it!

I paid much less than £160 a ticket, in fact it was less than half that. So I stand by the sensible stuff I said the other night. There was no way I was prepared to pay that much, but now Craig and I have a weekend away in Cardiff to look forward to.

Now leave me, I'm clearly busy...washing the sofa covers, I do it all for you, you know?!

The one and only time I saw Madonna was on the Blonde Ambition tour in 1990. She swore a lot. It was right good.

She did indeed. I was at the opening night at Wembley Stadium, which was the concert that got reviewed by all the press. They uniformly slated her for swearing in front of her young fans. The next night's show was broadcast live on Radio 1. I taped it. Refusing to apologise for the nature of her "filthy and crude" show, Madge went into a rant in which she memorably screeched "Fuck is a good word! If your mum and dad din't fuck, you wouldn't be here, OK?"
In fact she said "Fuck" about 20 times in 2 minutes. The crowd cheered every one, but the BBC got many complaints.
